The year 2009 is a Golden Year in the history of FCC Alphonsa Province Pala. It os this year we are purchase the 'Murickan Tharavad' where St. Alphonsa, the first women saint, a member of FCC and the patronal saint of FCC Alphonsa Province Pala spent her later childhood and adolescent period.
    In 2009 April 4th there we opened a convent named St. Alphonsa Convent. That day itself 4 sisters began to stay there and the Holy Eucharist is kept in a small room in the same 'Muricken Tharavadu'.
    Once Mar Joseph Kallarangatt the Bishop of Palai express his sincere desire to have a centre there to spread the spirituality of St. Alphonsa and to conduct retreats and courses for sisters and public. As the fulfillment of his dream on 12th April 2011 the bishop laid the foundation stone of a building for 60 people with the necessary conveniences. On 29th Nov. 2012 Mar Joseph Kallarangatt Blessed the St. Alphonsa Convent, Spirituality Centre and Museum in the presence of Mar Jacob Muricken the Auxiliary Bishop of Palai, Mar Jseph Pallickaparampil the Bishop Eameritus, many priests, religious and public. Now this is a pilgrim place where St. Alphonsa's  Blessings are showered.
